About me: Niya was my first Alaskan Malamute and taught me everything I know. She sadly only had a short showing career of which i handled her to win many Best of breeds and best Puppy in Breeds at both open and championship show level.
Niya gained a life qualification to crufts, one of her main achievements being to gain a Reserve challenge certificate at Birmingham National Dog Show under judge Kath Howath(Hawkam Kennels).
Niya also enjoyed working and competed in harness at Aviemore 2007.
Niya had an active personality and thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor weather whether back packing, working or simply hunting the local wildlife population on her daily walks. She was fantastic with children and acted as a great friend and mum to her half sister Tala when she arrived. Niya was always a great pleasure to handle in the ring and was a credit to the breed.
